The City of Monte Vista is seeking qualified firms to provide a lump sum cost to remove two large cottonwood trees from the Golf Course (see attached picture).  Due to the nature of the removal and the properties involved extreme care must be used in the removals. The trees must be roped and brought down in a manner that does not damage the existing grass of the golf course, the nearby fence or the existing track surface of the school district.

The School District is planning a resurfacing project of their track and the removal must be done prior to the end of June.  Contractor will need to coordinate efforts with the Golf Course, Monte Vista Public Works and The School District.

Scope of work:  A lump sum cost to remove both trees and all debris to include limbs and wood.  Trunks shall ground to a depth of 12 inches and all shavings must be cleaned and removed.  Area restored to smooth finish ready for sod or seed.

All potential bidders must put bid into a sealed envelope titled: Golf Course Tree Removal 2024-005.  Bids are due on June 3 at 2:00p.m.  those wishing to view the trees or those that have questions may contact Robert Vance at 719-852-8281 or by email at rvance@ci.monte-vista.co.us
