Monte Vista was founded in 1886 and is home to about 5,000 citizens.

Our Mission:

The City of Monte Vista is the largest City in the Rio Grande County and has a strong history of benefiting not only the residents, but the surrounding agricultural community. The City achieves these benefits by providing a base of Faith, Teamwork, Innovation, Transparency, Service, and Sustainability for the community.
