FIRE BAN EXTENDED: Monte Vista City Council has extended the Open Fire Ban until at least July 7. This ban is in accordance with ordinance 886. The fire ban means ”NO” open fire defined as any outdoor fire, including but not limited to campfires, warming fires, bonfires, fireworks, charcoal BBQ grills, or burning lawns, brush and/or ditches.
