New Members Wanted – Castleford School District

PUBLIC NOTICE:

 

The City of Monte Vista currently has three openings for the Board of Adjustments. The Board of Adjustments is a three-member board. This board hears and rules on written appeals concerning the City Official's decisions regarding interpretation of the City Code and permit refusals, permit exceptions, and variations to the City Zoning Regulations. The Board of Adjustments is responsible for reviewing requests for variances per the Monte Vista Municipal Code. The Board meets on an as needed basis. Any citizen interested in serving on the Commission for a two-year appointment is encouraged to submit their information to the Monte Vista City Planner’s Office. Please submit a Letter of Interest outlining your qualifications, community engagement and why you would like to serve. We do require that you are a U.S. citizen and resident or land owner of the City of Monte Vista.  The Letter of Interest should be delivered in sealed envelopes and or mailed to:

ALL LETTER OF INTEREST ARE DUE BY 5:00 PM ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2024

 

City Council will review and consider the letter of interest and may conduct interviews prior to making a decision. It is anticipated that the appointment will be made at the City Council’s October 3, 2024 meeting. If approved by City Council, the oath of office would be administered at that time.
